Can one apply in person at any Prothonotary?

This might be a stupid question but I'll give it a go anyway... I live in Middletown and whenever possible avoid Wilmington... traffic, parking, the usual suspects. Is it possible that I hand deliver my application to the Prothonotary in Dover? Or as a NCCo resident must I go to King Street?

The permits are handled at the county level. You'll either need to mail it to Wilmington or take the trip there in person.

You can mail it in. Make 2 copies of everything and send in the originals and 1 copy, keep 1 copy for your own records.

Just an update, applied in person in Wilmington on 7/17, received the permit today! Shocked. Was quoted 6 months.
