Current events, goings-on in Delaware and anything else of interest here.

I know that suppressors are illegal in Delaware (no exceptions), but I'm unclear on the legality of threaded barrels. Google found a bill (147th general assembly, Senate bill number 37) that was under consideration in Delaware that defined an "assault pistol" as one that included a threaded barrel capable of accepting a suppressor. I've searched the forum and the general opinion seems to be the barrel is fine as long as there isn't a suppressor attached to it, but I want to be absolutely certain.

I happen to have a Glock 17 with a titanium-nitride-coated match grade threaded barrel (planning to move to a less restrictive state soon), which I've been open carrying, but I don't want to fall on the wrong side of a law of which I am not aware. Can anyone advise me on this issue? Also, can anyone recommend a firearm law attorney, preferably in NCC, who I can retain for such questions (and if I'm ever detained or arrested by LE for open carrying, or, worst case, involved in a shooting)?

Cheers,
Phil
