The real reason behind the rush to legalize pot? To some extent maybe? Pot is still illegal under federal law.

Get POT CARD and the 9th circuit says it's ok to deny your right to purchase a firearm.

I reckon the same would apply if you were seen carrying while making a pot purchase using your pot cards.

This is not a grand conspiracy. It has long been known that the states who are legalizing the possession and/or use of marijuana are directly at odds with federal law on drugs. It's a huge issue in many ways. However, since federal law governs the purchase of a firearm from an FFL (and any private party transaction since the use of marijuana has been a disqualifying factor for quite some time), the sale of a firearm to such a person has been prohibited.

Carrying a firearm (that you had legally purchased) has nothing to do with this rule. It may violate other state or federal laws, but I don't see how it would be a prohibited act in and of itself.
