I frequent the shopping center where the horrific shooting happened.
I have read a couple of reports of the incident and I keep thinking about what if.
What if I had been standing in line at Rita's? (With or without my family)
What if I had been sitting at the light?
Etc

I had a conversation with a coworker that is pro 2A and we were discussing how do you react.

I just wanted to get some thoughts and start some conversation.

Prayers go out to the officers family and I truly wish we didn't live in a world where this is even a thought.

What if!!!

If I was at the station, I would have drawn my weapon and fired. I would have ensured a clear background, focused on the front sight and shot center mass.

If I was with my family I would tell them to take cover (like we have trained for) my wife(who carries) would secure the family and I would provide assistance to the downed trooper.

I wouldn't hesitate to kill that bastard.

"I'm not posting this to be gruesome, but this is an example of what our minds can go through in decision making.

This is just a CCW witness discussing what he saw and his reactions at the Wawa store. No pictures of the scene."

I've spoken to troopers who interviewed him. He made the right decision. They speak very highly of him.
