Fundraiser to Support Delaware Open Carry!

We've come to that time of the year when our server lease and domain name registrations are coming up for renewal. In the past, many of you have expressed your generosity in the form of donations in order to keep the site running - I'm asking for your support again this year.

Please visit our donation information page for more details and, if you enjoy this site, if you've ever attended our gatherings or, if this community has brought you some knowledge or entertainment, please give what you can to keep us going.

Guys! New evil idea:

Give me a tie AND....

I was snoopin' around on the page for buying the black shirt, and I noticed a 'customize' option. Why don't we all get one of the black shirts, and we each customize the back of it to say our online names! It jacks up the price, but I'd pay. It would probably be the coolest shirt I've bought in 5 years! What do ya think?

Sadly, patches aren't offered as a product option. Also, with embroidery, it requires an upfront fee for the image to thread conversion. So, if we see a LOT of demand for it, I can see about fronting the money to see if we can make that back at least, hah!

How much is the setup fee? This is a fundraiser, not a charity! The site should make some money off of these items and not just break even. So, how much do we need to get embroidered stuff???

Depending on the item and the size of the conversion, between $25 and $35 or so. Considering the site would make about $3 or $4 per item purchase, we'd need 10-15 ordered to break even, heh.

Hold that thought, let look into my finances and see if a donation + setup fee would be in the budget for next month...

I'm still researching places that could do the embroidery at a decent price. I want a navy blue "polo" shirt with the DELOC logo no bigger than 3"....

As far as the Zazzle stuff, IMHO the T-shirts' logo is way too big. And it would look better on a darker shirt, not white. But these are small issues.

Like has been said, donations are always accepted, too, if you don't need any merchandise.

Too *big*? But you can hardly see the website at the bottom. Looks fine to me.

And I'm still thinking of getting a shirt that says:

OMG
WHAT'S THAT?!

Um, Wynder, upon closer "inspection" of the logo on that T-shirt, it appears that you uploaded an OLD logo for all those items. I think our newer official logo (the one we actually use on the website here) has better and easier-to-read text.

We should use the official logo, right? :? :?

Yes, but it'll take me a while to send it to you. It's on my portable drive which isn't set up yet, and I'm at work, about to get into a project....

What format/size do you need for that Zazzle place?

Thanks to the folks who have donated (generously, I might add)... I honestly never expect this level of support, it's really exciting -- not just from the standpoint that we'll be paying bills, but I'm more stoked that we can move forward with getting some printed materials into your hands for gatherings and people on the street who ask about open carry.

Again, my sincerest thanks!
