Shooting from the holster is completely new to me and at every range I've been to its always specifically prohibited. I understand the safety concern but I see it as a disservice when it comes time to apply skills in the real world.

The other thing that I really liked but didn't get to try was shooting a rifle from standing,kneeling, and prone. I know I can make great shots from a bench but how much of that applies when you are hunting? Nevermind manipulating your weapon while in those different positions.

That's what I like about Southern Chester County Sportsman's. I practice my position rifle shooting on the 100 yard line. Plus, I bring my barricade to practice my 50 yard revolver shooting including drawing. All for $100 a year!

That's not bad... but all registration slots are closed unless you are a relative of a member or have some executive invite.

Keep an eye on the website. They have opened up for applications suddenly in the past.

They open up in the spring. They did a batch on March 1st and April 3rd, I think. I don't believe there will be any more openings until next spring.
