My Mom was in town and I was finally able to get her to go to the range. She's not truly anti just more inexperienced and a little fearful of firearms. She did grow up on a farm and was around firearms with her Dad and brothers just never tried it her self.
Two Fridays ago I brought her to DSPC to try shooting a 22. I coached her about safety and handling of the pistol she was shooting (scoped Ruger MkIII off a sandbag). Her first shot at 25 yrds was an 'X' in the center of the target! Her next three could have been covered by a quarter. She enjoyed it and took the targets home as a trophy.
She also watched me shoot AP last Wed to see the whole process and she said that was interesting too.
I think we may have a convert!
