This sounds like a good plan to me!

If I'm not mistaken the rules state that you must shoot 50 feet away from structures. Are there any other rules that apply to shooting on your own property in Sussex County, DE?

Obviously, that wasn't in DE. Let's not confuse the new guy... what state was that in? PA is my guess.

JD Defense is a nice place to shoot in Georgetown. Their website says membership is limited, but I understand it to be open to anyone to become a member. I think they limit it to prevent overcrowding. I've had to wait and even come home w/o shooting when they were full. The yearly memberships are expensive (last I knew $250 yearly for premium membership, maybe higher now--more for family memberships) and they have restrictions on reloads and you can't pick up your brass.

The Nanticoke Sportsmant's Club is a limited membership facility in Seaford with a waiting list, but it's worth getting on that list as soon as you arrive. It's a well kept facility with several private shooting sections. Yearly membership for associate members is $75 yearly and $40 for stockholders. This is by far the best place to shoot in Southern DE.

Geez, I guess the good times are behind me once I move to Delaware. This deserves a smiley.

So I take it poor people like me can never afford to shoot?
Sure you can, just give up eating for the week.

;)
Who, me?

Oh, and BTW, my finger is BEHIND the trigger.

they rent lots of stuff. even had a vendor pay for use of a FA mp5. :) only 2 mags, but it was nice!

but when you're trying to shoot, the concussion of a saw running full auto, do get your attention! the target is moving in the breeze! :) that part was to brian's rules about concussion.

New New Vaquero, fake ivory grips , 45 Colt. Back when times were good I had a sequential numbered pair.

Still have the Rossi stainless lever in 45 Colt, though. She sure does take a liking to a little internal stoning, too!
