I received that in my inbox today. That's too close to my kids' bedtime, and feeding a family of 5 there may break me.... Otherwise I'd go!

Wish I'd seen this earlier. Would loved to have attended. Maybe next time.

So, are you guy's jazz fans? Or was dinner the interesting part...

Personally I like most forms of music and jazz is one of them. I'm into the old trumpeters like Dizzy Gillespe and Miles Davis.

Here's a partial list of people I listen to,

Arturo Sandaval
Count Basie
Duke Ellington
Ella Fitzgerald
Dave Holland
Dave Brubeck
Wynton Marsalis
Hugh Masakela
Jimmy Smith
Freddie Hubbard
Clark Terry
Joey DeFancesco
John Coltrane
John Faddis
Martin, Medeski, and Wood
McCoy Tyner

Depends on what mood I'm in. I'll listen to country, old rock, head banging stuff, and even rap on the rare occasion.

I enjoy jazz Tony T. I, like you, also like old rock and country. It's been a while since I've been to hear live jazz and it sounded like a nice evening, including the food. Maybe next time.

Anybody that rides in my car knows, when my jazz cycles through my ipod, you don't touch it. Just about anything else, go ahead, set your tone. Just don't touch my jazz.

Jazz, blues and Ska. Not that Ska really fits in with the others (though it's really a modern jazz), but I can listen to it all day long.

But, for the most part, I listen to EVERYTHING. All music has it's place, and it all rests so nicely on my ipod touch. So far, 28 gigs of sweet serenity, serenading me no matter my mood.

I type this as Sum 41 cycles through to Oasis.

You're right. Jazz, Country, and Easy Listening all can have their place in the incinerator, delete bin, or landfill (depending). LOL.

(hey, what do you get when you play a Country music soing backwards??)
