What do I do when I OC and find myself not being the driver. a holster on the dash is out of the question (not my car) and I don't necessarily want to put it in the console. Also what would you do if you were in the back seat of a car and carrying?

I also feel very strange in this situation,

In my girl friends truck I sit it by the shifter on the floor, still visible to anyone at window (Ford ranger)

In my own car (center console)

Other friends cars I have either put it in a spare holster and held it with barrel facing something it would not hurt in a bad situation, or I have just sat it on my lap. I always feel like this would make ME feel uneasy if i saw someone else doing it. I know its the law but I mean if you drove up on someone with a open pistol in their lap wouldnt you question it?
