Just thought I would share in case anyone is interested...I don't think I would try this but 10 pages in the linked thread have many people pleased with the results.

I think the whole swage your own bullets idea is fascinating. I saw a guy making .224 bullets from old 22LR cases which looks like a cool idea. I may just get some of the gear to do this someday. It appeals to the DIY in my as well as recycling! ;)

Paul from K&D cartridges was going to make .224 bullets using .22 LR brass. He's out of commission currently due to Triple By pass Surgery till Sept 1.

Yep, he told me that too last time I was over buying ammo boxes, before his surgery. He's big into cast bullets so it seems like a good match.

A local business that used to make reloads but now sticks to cast bullets, brass, ammo boxes etc. He can also process brass like removing the glock bulge. http://kdcartridgeandsupply.com/

Pretty cool. I don't reload for pistol calibers right now but when I do I might have to start making my own bullets like this.
