My Operations Manual for my AR-15 says I need to thoroughly "clean with RBC (Rifle Bore Cleaner)"....

Is this a specific brand that I've never heard of or seen in stores, or a generic name for something like Hoppes?

a question is never a stupid question....use any cleaner you want....crc...break free...G96....birchwood etc. it's all good.

Hoppes #9 works fine.

OK, thanks guys. I still have Hoppes 9 so I'll just use that until I run out. Then i'll pick up something different to try.

Hoppes always works well for me. Also used Break Free CLP. People rave about Balistol...I bought a can. It is great on wood and leather...but on bores, I like CLP
