I was quite shocked by the almost indifference my daughter had for it. To be fair, my parents never owned guns but we did take our safety courses and shot quite a few times. Owning my first firearm was an awesome experience. But my kids are used to the firearms, they know they're there and they've seen my clean and maintain them. There's no mystery to them, and I think that's the biggest safety measure you can take.
