"Trusted person" part of gun smuggling. Real guns, ammo, on the plane, carry on bags.

They didn't realize the guns were on the plane. They thought it was a car based ring, with the guy flying up to meet the driver. Not realizing it was carryon bags. Until pretty late in the process.

Tea and airline officials think background checks, Multiple screenings are the answer. Apparently they can be ineffective. So just like gun laws, only the criminals with an inside man have guns.

Background checks aren't the cure, as we all have seen. The airport employee would have been through them and was apparently not viewed as a problem.

Every time you fly, and tsa gives you your colonoscopy, remember, the professionals, the real threats, are the ones they don't check. The. Kid that runs across the tarmac, good thing he didn't have a ied vest on, or guys like in this story.

Didn't hear much of this on the big media outlets.
