Seaford police charged Sylvester Deshields with attempted murder, possession of a deadly weapon during a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Seaford police Lt. Richard Jamison said officers were called to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday for a patient in the emergency room with multiple stab wounds.
When officers spoke with the 25-year-old Lincoln man, he told them that he was at an apartment at Chandler Heights when the suspect walked in and started arguing with him.

He was admitted in stable condition.
Officers started canvassing the area and at about 10 p.m. located the suspect walking in the area of Woodland Mills Apartments on Bridgeville Highway.
Deshields was found hiding in the shrubbery and arrested. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $100,000.
