Two women are being sought in connection with a home invasion robbery targeting a group of Hispanic men last month in the Brookside neighborhood east of Newark.

New Castle County detectives released surveillance video of the women Monday in the hope that the public can help police identify them.

Detectives said one of the victims had met the two women prior to the May 31 robbery and agreed to pick them up in the area of the Shop Rite in the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center, said Cpl. Trinidad Navarro, a county police spokesperson.

After picking up the two women, he drove them to the home in the first block of Kenmar Drive where he and six other victims -- all Hispanic men -- were socializing.

Minutes later, about 2:40 a.m., three armed men forced their way into the home at gunpoint, forced the seven men to get face down on the floor, and removed cash from each of them before ransacking the house.

"These two women introduced themselves to one of the victims and agreed to go back to the house and socialize with them," Navarro said. "We're pretty confident that they were involved in the conspiracy to commit this home invasion."

After the robbery the assailants, who were dressed in black, took off in an unknown vehicle.

Police are asking anyone who can identify either of these women to call police at 395-8110 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333. The public can also text NCCPD at 847411 (TIP411).
