folks,

for those of you that vacation to sin city, you may want to check the new reciprocity list.

and for those of ME who like to come home on occasion, it may not be necessary to apply for a 3rd partY state carry permit. *** edit: assuming delaware agrees and reciprocates.

Nevada has changed it's reciprocity laws recently which opened up a couple more states to us, and it appears that Delaware is now on the list. sb175.

the new letter of reciprocity is at this link, de in now honored i nv. hoping delaware adjusts their list in short order!

*** changed to direct link to the .gov official site

http://gsd.nv.gov/FeesForms/Brady/CCW-P ... cognition/

also, should you visit nv, remember, open carry is also an option. it is a little more forgiving then de. you don't need to mount your gun in the open while in a car.

the typical places are off limits, schools, certain .gov bldgs, etc. private property no gun signs have NO FORCE OF LAW. but they can ask you to leave, you can be trespass'ed if you don't. fed buildings have the standard rules.

casinos are very anti gun, if they see it. but it is not illegal to carry inside. again, they can ask you to leave, and you must comply or it's trespass. sort of dont ask/dont tell. and they will ask you to live in short order, if you carry visibly.

you can go dig up the details on all this stuff before you travel, but at least you know the dig is worth while now, if you're heading this way.

I was most recently living in AZ before moving back here, and have both AZ AND NV permits . I keep both because for shine reason NV reciprocity is rather ephemeral, coming and going without any logic. If you are in Vegas enough for it to matter go there while your permit is recognized, and take the time to get the NV permit. Several of the ranges close to the strip offer no to low cost permit classes.

And to your previous comments I've seen OC swatted on Vegas Blvd but been personally blown off by a cop on Koval which runs immediately behind the casinos. My experience with proper permitted ccw has been accepting and accommodating from the casinos they don't like trouble, or drama.

and it's gone. i guess is that delaware didn't reciprocate so, the removed delaware. effective date for removal was yesterday, i believe.

the uscarry site that lists reciprocity HAS NOT been reflected to update the change YET.

as far as logic, i'd be interested to have more details on how or IF... states attempt to coordinate reciprocity. (excluding those that you know never would. the usual suspects)
