I'm sure the title of this post really got your attention and you're like..wait, what? one of our own wants to regulate gunpowder?! :p

But really, U.S. Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) wants to do just that. I'm starting to think that all this new legislation bullshit has BEEN written up, just waiting for the right time to introduce it. And after the crazy incident earlier this week in Boston, what better time to introduce this...

I just noticed at the end of the article is a link to the original article. so here that link is as well: http://www.lautenberg.senate.gov/newsro ... id=341435&

They never let a crisis go to waste.

BTW, Lautenberg is an illegitimate senator. He was brought of of retirement by Governor McGreevey during the Bob Toricelli scandal when it became apparent that Toricelli was going to lose to a Republican. McGreevey broke NJ Sate law to get Lautenberg on the ballot instead of Toricelli.

I guess we'll have to undergo background checks when purchasing pressure vessels and matchbooks now?

These rules violate the Second Amendment in spirit by making it harder for citizens to have the gun powder they need to exercise their rights to self-protection. Founding father Thomas Jefferson foresaw this line of attack against our rights and noted that these sorts of restrictions are illicit.
