Fundraiser to Support Delaware Open Carry!

We've come to that time of the year when our server lease and domain name registrations are coming up for renewal. In the past, many of you have expressed your generosity in the form of donations in order to keep the site running - I'm asking for your support again this year.

Please visit our donation information page for more details and, if you enjoy this site, if you've ever attended our gatherings or, if this community has brought you some knowledge or entertainment, please give what you can to keep us going.

What really irks me (and I've written my State Rep. about it) is the AG and Governor's offices writing legislation and then looking for some one to sponsor it. I thought that our system was to have the legislators only introduce those bills that reflected the will of the people, not the other way around.

Guess I was confused. :?

They're not even writing it. It's all been handed to them from the Brady Campaign and Bloomberg's Mayors against gun violence. And this isn't the first time that it' hasn't even been read by a sponsor.

I'll look for the links but in Washington state they submitted a bill to come around and confiscate guns written right into the bill. Or something like that. And the sponsor was a lawyer and he admitted he hadn't read it! :banghead:

Next up would be the backlash of Cuomo's and him blaming Bloomberg and the Brady Campaign. Seems he too didn't read the laws before sending them off to be voted on, nor when he signed them.

Sean already provided a link. I'm also in the process of seeing if I can get some senator to also do a similar FOIA request for the rest of our gun laws. In particular the straw purchase and GFSZ ones. So far no luck with any response but then they're all on spring break, cause you know that 2 weeks work was exhausting.

What a shame that we have the two major political parties that believe the former.
