Hello to all,
I just wanted to post my first actual O.C. I decided to O.C. other than just walking the dog.
I was really nervous and kind of paranoid. I went to the New castle Farmer's market and walked around inside,I noticed a couple of stares but no comments or questions. A security guard walked passed me,took a quick glance and just said "Hi". I returned the courtesy and continued shopping. While buying vegetables in the market I had one person look at my gun, stare at me,looked at my gun, stare at me and just kept staring. I just smiled and continued walking. Afterwards I went to La Tonalteca Mexican restaurant and I am happy to report,no problem there. I was asked by one patron if I was a LEO. I answered "no." No other questions other than that. I went home after my meal and thought to post my first experience O.C.ing.
You guys are right...it will take some getting used to. I was just waiting for the police to surround me.

Congratulations, P2r. :applause: :applause: :applause:

As I'm sure you've read on here, that "neon sign on your back" will disappear soon. Then you'll feel a bit awkward going out withOUT OC'ing.

Thank you WWD,
Your right, I have seen almost everyone explain about that Neon sign, it's just hard getting used to. Well, I had another successful O.C. experience. Went to Brew Ha-Ha close to Trolley Square. I walked in and ordered a latte, the Barista gave a quick glance and smiled. I sat down and drank my coffee, everyone around either didn't notice or didn't care. After I finished my coffee,I went to Pathmark on Lancaster Ave. I had maybe one glance, but no problems. Cashier was nice and didn't seem to notice. As I walked out I was still a bit nervous .

Another successful O.C.! I went to lunch at Johnnie's Doghouse on Concord Pike.
Great Dogs! Veggie Dogs for the Vegatarians. Only got 2 stares. Stopped at 5 Below in the Fairfax Shopping Center,no one seemed to notice. I am beggining to feel a little more comfortable O.C.ing. :)

Thank you! I can honestly say the neon sign is indeed getting smaller and it is a good feeling.
I will keep my log going and hopefully will not have any bad experience to post. I have yet to be somewhere where a LEO is. I am nervous about when that will happen, but I do carry a pamphlet with me also.

Another successful O.C. Decided to go to Washington Street Ale House for dinner, I was still a bit nervouss but I was greeted at the door and escorted to a table by the hostess. I ordered my food and as I waited noticed a group of 4 at the table next to me just staring. Nothing was said, I just smiled and nodded.I had my dinner and desert, paid my bill and left. There was no problem O.C.ing other than a cou[ple of :o stares. As I got home (Delaware Ave.) a city patrol car rolled through, the LEO looked my way but did not slow down. Seems to be getting easier to O.C. now. :D
