I did a walk though the neighborhood this evening. Took the lil fat spoiled one. (Dachshund) (x2) walk was great until it started raining. Only one car slowed down but that was probably cause she was turning. ( but I did notice that ) Overall it went great and I plan on extenting my range tomorrow. Going to load test Wal-mart on centreville rd. If I can still breath after that I might try Arby's on Kirkwood hwy. Anyone want to join me and hold my hand?? lol

LOL. You will do fine. I am still fairly new at OC but it does get easier. I find most times people don't even notice. Kids notice more due to their height. Let us know how it goes.

It will get easier with time. The neon strip club and casino style sign you envision over your head will eventually fade away a little at a time to the point that only the crazy activists, other pro 2A folks, or curious kids seem to be the majority of those who take major notice and it will feel natural to you.

OK I made my first oc outside the neighborhood. I went to the cigarette store and the Boxwood liquor store. Nothing said at either place and I know they seen Hi Point on my side. Its big and heavy and hard to miss. After escaping there I made it to Wal-mart on Centerville rd. I didn't really need anything but from all the posts, I figured it was a safe spot to ease my nerves. I walked all over the store and bought 2 movies. No one said a word. When I left I really wanted to go to other stores just to get my confidence higher but I came home instead. I will be doing alot more OCing from now on. I feels good. Thanks for the replys and the support. :D

I literally carry everywhere... believe me at first its nerve racking but remain calm. Keep your practice up, practice drawing your unloaded firearm 150 times a day for a week. Then do 50 a day forever.

The idea of someone getting my gun from me used to terrorize me... carry yourself like a professional who means business, people avoid confrontation with you.

I have plans to carry alot more. I'm always polite, professional, and funny. Hard to think about killing everyone. I was figuring on a select few. I don't have enough ammo for everyone and I work so it would cut into my killing time. :toilet:

Lol it means to remember... you might have to shoot today. Always think about that. Look up opsgear color code of mental awareness on google or YouTube. I learned from them back when they had the urban warfare center open. Good guys, great instructors. Lots of ideology I live by at freetacticaltips.com I dont pay attention to the tactical videos, just the ones on mindset

Congrats. :applause:

It will get easier. I am somewhat a noob myself. Look for my open carry log when I started. I haven't posted much after that because I don't really open carry as much as I would like too. I am too out going I guess. Not sure the word I am looking for but here is an example; I am a member of my local fire station and I could @ anytime just head up there for a run. I am very active and used to be an officer for 9 years. They do not allow fire arms in the building so what would I do if I went on a run? I don't want to leave it in my truck. A few firemen have had their firearms stolen from their automobiles. I get my hair cut @ the Farmers Market and they are not firearms friendly. I could get my hair cut somewhere else but I like the old fella that does mine. He has been cutting it long before I could drive.

I like going to the store and not worrying about begin asked to leave. I just normally run in and grab what I want and leave. If I have to leave because I am carrying and have to find another place that would just plan piss me off. My issue is if I carry I don't want to have to leave it in my truck. So I don't carry as much as I would like too. Once I get my CCW I plan to carry everywhere but I will need a smaller pistol.

I must say that I find myself @ much more eased when carrying in public. I still look around for weird activity but my chest doesn't feel as tight when I carry. When I don't carry I am looking over my shoulders and 360 all the time. This isn't the way we are suppose to live but it is...
