I stopped at the BP gas station at University Plaza today. I was waiting my turn just outside the booth to pay for my gas. The couple ahead of me turned and walked past me. I paid and was walking towards my car when I noticed the guy looking my way. He had noticed my gun....
Here's the brief conversation:
Him: "Pardon me, Sir. Is that a real weapon on your hip?"
Me: "Yes, Sir. It's real. I wouldn't be able to protect myself if it was fake."
and here's where it gets sad:
Him: "Oh, well I thought it was fake and you would hit someone with it."
Me: "I'd just carry a brick instead."
He got into his car by then and drove off. While pumping my gas, I couldn't help but wonder if people think we really are carrying fancy gun-shaped clubs around in holsters for protection??
WTF?
