I made an appointment and went to the York County Sheriff's office in the courthouse to get my new LTCF in PA on Wednesday, Aug. 24th. I had filled it all out online, was notified by email that I was approved, and to use their scheduler to pick an appointment over the next two weeks. Appointments are 10 min. apart and did not even take that long.
I live in NCC so why York? Well, the last time I did this in Lancaster but the new sheriff has stopped issuing non-resident LTCF permits. We have friends that live in Dallastown, just south of York, and we visit them when I do my renewals. York used to not issue them but the new sheriff does.
